Functional Criteria
- Lever handle withdraws and engages dead bolt
- Latch bolt is reversible
- Split follower function is handed
- Cylinder double throws dead bolt to 22mm
- Cylinder withdraws latch
- 60mm backset, 72mm centers
- Strike includes dust caps
- Radius or Square forend available
BS EN 179 – Emergency Exit Devices
This standard covers devices to be used in emergency situations where people are familiar with the emergency exit and its hardware and therefore a panic situation is most likely to develop. Lever handle operated escape mortice locks or push pads may therefore be used.
Note: When using a cylinder and turn, if the cam is not fully turned then the lock may jam. We recommend a double cylinder is used with this lock.
